When a quote uses a Price Lock, the customer doesn’t see percentages. They see what they pay this year, what they’ll pay in the years after, and how much they save by staying.
On the quote page
The Choose Your Contract section shows one card per term you offered. On a $2,127 quote offered as “1 or 3 years”:
1-Year Agreement $2,127.00 Standard rate
3-Year Price Lock · Best value $2,127.00 this year Then $1,914.30 in year 2 and $1,807.95 in year 3, with loyalty savings for staying with us Save $531.75 over 3 years · Your price can never go up

A few details:
- The longest term you offered is selected when the page opens.
- With 1, 2 or 3 years, a 2-Year Price Lock card appears too. “Best value” stays on the longest term.
- If you offered the Price Lock only (no shorter term), they see one card under Your Contract.
- The total updates to the card they click. For a Price Lock it reads Estimated Total · 3-Year Price Lock and $2,127.00 this year.
- “Save $531.75” is what they save across the whole contract compared with paying full price every year ($212.70 in year 2 plus $319.05 in year 3).
The same deposit for 1 or 3 years
The deposit is a percentage of this year’s price. With year 1 at full price, the 1-year card and the 3-Year Price Lock both cost $2,127.00 this year, so the deposit is the same whichever they pick. Your customer can choose the longer commitment without paying more today.
PDF and email
The quote PDF and quote email use the same wording:
- Email: a 3-Year Price Lock column with “$2,127.00 this year” and “then $1,914.30, $1,807.95 with loyalty savings”, next to the other terms.
- PDF: a 3-Year Price Lock banner, then a box listing This year, Year 2 (loyalty savings) and Year 3 (loyalty savings) with each price, and “You save $531.75 over 3 years · Your price can never go up”.
When they sign
- The customer picks a card, types their name and signs, as on any quote.
- The term they picked is locked in. The other cards grey out, and the deposit is charged on this year’s price.
- If they signed the 3-Year Price Lock, the year-by-year savings they saw are saved with the signed quote, and their renewals in years 2 and 3 are priced from them. If the job doesn’t change, they pay exactly the prices on the card.
A customer can only sign a term you offered. On a “1 or 3 years” quote, that means 1 year or 3 years.
